Whew! I’m tired, and a bit cranky. I’ve had quite the adventurous morning. There was some funny hijinks this morning when Steven fell asleep with a glass of milk in his hand and it poured all over the already sleeping Jason. There was lots of activity as the humans dug their way out from under the covers, and the tall one stumbled to the bathroom to retrieve a towel from the linen closet. There’s a secret about our linen closet though - it has a small access door at the bottom of it, that lets the humans get to the back of the shower and the pipes, should anything ever need fixing in there. Occasionally this door opens on it’s own, but the humans are really good about making sure the linen closet door is closed tightly. It’s one of the few doors that shuts so tight that I can’t open by swinging on it (yes - I’m just that smart). But today I wouldn’t even have to try to get that door open - Steven left it open in his mid-sleep stumble to find a towel.

I’ve seen Skittzo go through the door more than once, only to return meowing at the front door a few hours later, wanting back in the nice climate-controlled house, where there’s always an ample supply of food. I’ve even poked my head in there once before I came right back out the door I went through when Jason heard me in there. Today, though, both of the humans were sleeping soundly.I decided to go exploring. In the closet. Down the hatch. Under the house. Out the vent. FREEDOM! - I was outside. The humans are still trying to figure out if i went on my own, or if I followed Skittzo, or she chased me… and that’s one secret I’m keeping (can’t get her in trouble, after all - I do have to live with her).

I enjoyed the outside for a few hours, but I only stayed in the back yard… or at least that’s where i was found by the humans when they woke up.. ruined all of my fun :\. I later learned that the fence in the backyard only goes half way around the yard, but yet I was trying to jump over it - next time I’ll know to just walk around and save my energy. Finally - outside without my leash - and Steven had to come and find me. I spent the rest of the day sulking and whining, just watching the outside world, because they made me go back inside. I like the outside, but I like the inside better. Jason & Steven let me go outside occasionally, but only with my harness and leash. I’m slowing learning to like it, and when I get more accustomed to it, maybe I’ll go outside more. It’s nap time for the kitty now
