Great clicker September 8, 2010 Baron von French (Tallahassee, FL) We ordered two of these clickers to train our new puppy and they are great. Both are made very well, are very sturdy and produce a consistent click with every press of the button. I was worried that one clicker may sound a little different than the other, but I have been very pleased with the product.
StarMark training system September 1, 2010 C. Gemmell This product is truly a nice value. Other than not supplying a wrist strap (they would have to charge more) the only problem is it occasionally gets stuck in the on position and is hard to shut off. I use a letter opener to pop the button back out. A key works sometimes too. To do this you need some sort of slender, pointy object like a scissors or a knife. After that it works well again. It's loud enough and the button makes it much easier to use than the clickers I've used in the past. Plus it fits nicely in the palm of my hand, though I did add a wrist strap to make it even more user friendly.
Clicker September 1, 2010 Corinna This is a great clicker! My dog has been clicker training and I purchased this to have an extra one hanging around the house. My dog likes it so much that one day when I left it on the livingroom table, she picked it up and started clicking it herself...at the same time looking at me, like "where's my treat?" It's worth the purchase.
BUYER BEWARE - Clicker Training is the Sister of Bribery! September 1, 2010 Zedicus (New York, USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
Click, click, click, let's just give the dog treats and have him lose total respect for you. That's right. You become the "briber" instead of the "provider." The only time this device makes sense is if you are mute.
Haven't you seen super trained dogs WITHOUT the clicker? If this method is so smart and so effective, why is it we don't hear or see it in the news? Why clicker training hasn't been on Oprah or Charlie Rose? Because it's crap.
Fell apart after three uses. August 24, 2010 L. Ruhge (Melbourne) I purchased the StarMark Clicker at Petsmart. The unit was not sealed properly and I had to fix it together at the base. It stopped clicking after three uses. Not worth your money. Get a Petsmart Clicker.
